Museums and Heritage

Great stories deserve thoughtful ways to be experienced. We help museums, heritage sites and cultural attractions use immersive technology to bring collections, places and history closer to their audiences.

From augmented and virtual reality to 360° film, interactive interpretation and digital installations, our work helps visitors explore, understand and connect with subjects in new ways. The technology is only part of the answer. What matters most is creating an experience that feels appropriate to the story, accessible to the audience and valuable to the organisation.

Holocaust Educational Trust – 360° Learning Experience

Testimony 360 was created for the Holocaust Educational Trust to help preserve and share first-hand testimony of Holocaust survivors with future generations. The experience brings together survivor testimony, 360° filming at significant Holocaust sites, historical photographs and documents, digitised artefacts and audio to create a powerful immersive learning experience for young people.

Working alongside educators, historians and subject experts, we approached the subject matter with exceptional sensitivity and care.

I think this is revolutionary, not just in terms of Holocaust education but in terms of history education and education generally… the buzz in the classroom, it’s just really hard to describe how fantastic it is.
The Guardian

Our team spent months shaping the material into an experience that remained educational, thoughtful and deeply human. Since launch, it has received exceptional feedback from teachers, students and the press, and won the Education and Training category at The Charity Awards 2025.

Roman Villa: A Day in the Life

Created with RWE and Headland Archaeology, Roman Villa: A Day in the Life turns genuine archaeological discoveries into an interactive augmented reality experience. Using finds uncovered along Norfolk wind farm cable routes, visitors can place a reconstructed Romano-British villa into their own environment, explore its buildings, examine artefacts and meet characters inspired by the site.

Working closely with archaeologists and heritage specialists allowed us to balance historical accuracy with an experience that was engaging, approachable and enjoyable to explore.

Take-aways

Our work across museums and heritage is as much about interpretation and visitor experience as it is technology. We work closely with curators, historians, subject specialists and wider project teams to create experiences that respect the source material, respond to different audience needs and use technology only where it adds value – whether that’s AR, VR, a touchscreen, an audio experience or something else. We can help shape the idea, choose the right approach and turn it into something visitors genuinely want to engage with.
